These terms describe how Pennykite works and what you agree to when you use it.
The service
Pennykite is a cash-flow calendar and debt payoff planner. It projects balances, a safe-to-spend amount and debt payoff schedules from the numbers you enter or import.
Pennykite is software only. We don't lend money, offer credit, negotiate with creditors or provide debt relief, settlement or consolidation, and we never hold or move your money.
Not financial advice
Pennykite is not a financial adviser, and nothing in it is financial, tax, legal or credit advice. Its results are arithmetic on the numbers you provide. They are estimates, and they're only as accurate as those numbers. Payoff plans assume interest is charged monthly at the APR you enter; lenders usually compound daily and may change minimum payments, so your statements will differ. Check important decisions against your own statements, and talk to a qualified professional about your situation.
Your data lives in your browser
Your plan is stored in your browser on your device, not on our servers. That means:
- You're responsible for keeping it. Clearing your browser's site data, using a private window, resetting your device or losing it can delete your plan. We have no copy and can't restore it.
- You're responsible for your backups. Download a backup file from Preferences if you want to keep your plan or move it to another device, and keep the file somewhere safe. It contains your financial numbers in readable form.
- Anyone who can use your unlocked device and browser profile can see your plan.
Accounts
You're responsible for the credentials of your account and for what happens in it. Keep your password safe, and consider adding a passkey or two-factor authentication.
Plans and payments
Free is free. Plus is a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly through Creem, which acts as merchant of record and handles payment, taxes and receipts. You can cancel at any time; Plus stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. See the refund policy.
Acceptable use
Use of the service is subject to the acceptable-use policy.
Availability
The service is provided as is. We may change or stop features, and we'll try to announce significant changes in the changelog. Because your plan is in your browser, downloading a backup keeps a copy you control whatever happens to the service.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the changelog or by email.
